Tell us about Dre Vegas:
I am a simple guy that likes simple pleasures. I really enjoy putting together events because I love to see people having a good time. When I am not whooping it up Saturday night at Belo, you might find me in the ocean surfing, fishing or free diving.
How long have you been in the Promoting industry and how’d you get started?
I have been in the business for 15 years. Some friends and I were living in LA and not much was going on, so we hooked up with Johnny Depp, co-owner of Viper Room and never looked back.
What has been the craziest night of your career?
An event that I co-hosted at the Playboy Mansion. I had so much fun on the front lawn that I ended up spending the night at the “free hotel” downtown. HA, HA!
What’s your favorite venue and why?
Air Conditioned Lounge in North Park. You don’t have to act like somebody that you
aren’t when you’re there; you can dress how you want and be who you really are without people judging you.
How’s the San Diego nightlife compared to other large cities? What do you like, dislike or want to change?
It doesn’t really compare. San Diego is based off of the large college crowd. Don’t get me wrong, some of the most beautiful people are hanging around San Diego. But don’t make your prices too steep on the guest list.
What direction is San Diego’s nightlife going?
It’s really hard to say, it changes from year to year. Right now it’s from big clubs like, On Broadway, to little lounges.
What’s a weekend like for Dre?
Try to catch a rock show from my boys Daredevil Jane, and if all else fails I will pop my head in to some other events downtown to see how things are shaping up.

Where do spend your free time?
Hanging out and having a good time with my wife and daughter.
How did you meet your wife?
I met my wife at an event I was throwing downtown when she showed up with a bachelorette party. I bought them all a round and when she was leaving, I gave her my card, but she told me she didn’t call boys. So finally I got her to give me her number and the rest is history.
How’s life with your new daughter?
It’s really hard to explain to anyone who doesn’t have children. The love and compassion that I feel for this little being is more powerful than anything I have ever felt and I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.
What would you want to do in your next lifetime?
I would want to be invisible so I can look at naked women in locker rooms.
What’s something most people don’t know about you?
That I don’t drink or use street drugs. But don’t kid, I still get high as hell on 3-4 Rockstar Energy Drinks.
Where’s your favorite surf spot?
Cloudbreak in Tavarua, Fiji
What’s the weirdest thing you’ve eaten?
Chilled monkey balls in Singapore.
Can you do any Fijian dances?
Hell yeah, have you seen me dance!
What’s your worst wipe out?
Low tide at Restaurants in Fiji. 4-6 foot, I had my entire back and ass grinded into a huge patch of fire coral. When I finally came up my shorts were shredded off my body. The island nurse put a towel in my mouth and took a bottle of hydrogen peroxide and a toothbrush and cleaned all my open wounds.
What are some your hobbies?
Free diving, snowboarding, kayaking, surfing, fishing and just enjoying the outdoors.
What’s in the future for Dre Vegas?
Some incredible fresh events and of course hopes of a mini Dre Vegas from my wife.

All the Viscuso Team, all my great DJ Friends, Hollywood Ray, my boys Brad and Jeremy at Happy Hour Mag, and all those clown ass promoters that make me look so good year after year. Oh yeah, and my wife and daughter because they drive me bonkers!
